Genell Fletcher Wilson

Genell Fletcher Wilson, 83 of Adel and formerly of Hahira died April 12, 2015 at her home. She was born in Lowndes County on December 2, 1931 to the late Zack and Genia Carter Fletcher. Mrs. Wilson was an active member of the Hahira First Baptist Church and the Life Builders Sunday School Class. She enjoyed being with her family, gardening her flowers and jewelry. Mrs. Wilson was active in TOPS (Hahira Chapter).
Survivors include her two sons, Michael Wilson and Phillip Wilson both of Adel, two daughters and sons in law; Sandra and Brant Lindsey of Adel, Robin and Jerome Bodiford of Hahira; two adopted daughters, Jeannie Slone of Valdosta, Debbie McAllister of Hahira; grandchildren and their spouses, Chris and Kim Lindsey, C.J. Bodiford, Tera Mesta, Lindsey and Mike Argo, Brittany and Glenn Travis, David Covington and Kate Tarnovetc; an adopted grandson, Adam Las of San Francisco, CA; great grandchildren, Reid Lindsey, Kylee Lindsey, Hannah Lindsey, Haley Bodiford, Jacob Bodiford, Josie Mesta, Justin Mesta, Phillip Argo and Michael Argo; one brother, Hulon Fletcher of Valdosta; two sisters, Gloria Coppage and Avanell Witherspoon both of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wilson, two grandsons, Greg Lindsey and B. J. Bodiford, two brothers, Freeman Fletcher and Dewitt Fletcher; four sisters, Irene Scarborough, Joyce Ruis, Jean Lewis and Geraldine Giddens.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Hahira First Baptist Church, 201 N. Church St., Hahira, GA 31632 with Rev. David Gordon and Mr. Brant Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home, 401 S. Church St., Hahira, GA 31632.
