Gary Leon Shaw

Gary Leon Shaw, 84, of Valdosta, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his home. He was born on October 28, 1936 in Hornersville, MO to the late Clinton Spivey Shaw and Marie Dunning Shaw. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and worked at S & S Molded Products in Industrial Management. Mr. Shaw enjoyed football, fishing, and was an Eagle Scout. He loved serving the Lord, he was a deacon at his church, Morningside Baptist Church, and a Sunday School Teacher as well. He loved spending time with his family and was a proud grandfather.
Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Shaw of Valdosta; three sons, David Gary Shaw (Heather), of Orlando, FL, Jeremy Keith Shaw, of Valdosta, and Jason Michael Shaw (Kristy), of Valdosta; five grandchildren, Taylor Shaw, Brooke Shaw, and Trevor Shaw, all of Orlando, A.J. Shaw, and Alex Shaw, both of Valdosta; a brother and sister-in-law, William Howell Shaw and Linda Shaw, of Brunswick, GA; and sister Patricia Bradley Shaw, of Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 5, 2021 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Reverend Wayne Robertson officiating.
