Frederick Ashley Stephenson, Sr.

Frederick Ashley Stephenson, Sr., 69, of Hahira died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at his residence. He was born on July 9, 1943 in Valdosta to the late Willie Woodrow Stephenson and Ethel Lee Daniels Stephenson. Mr. Stephenson owned and operated Fred Stephenson Construction Company and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Gunsaulus Stephenson of Hahira, one son, Fred Stephenson, Jr. of Sand Hill, two daughters and one son in law, Belinda and Buie Griner of Nashville, GA and Victoria Lynn Southerland of Hahira, eight grandchildren, Ashley Stephenson III, Jessere Stephenson, Dustin Beach, Stephen (Brandie) Griner, Brittany Griner, Heather Lee Southerland, Amber Naomi Southerland and Tracy Duane Southerland II, three great grandsons, Adam Stephenson, Grayson Stephenson and Hank Stephenson, one brother and sister in law, Tommy and Sandra Stephenson of Lake Park, one sister and brother in law, Crystal and Warren Halterman of Clay City, KY, sister in law, June Stephenson of Valdosta, brother in law and sister in law, Bill and Debbie Gunsaulus of Orange Park, FL, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Stephenson is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bobby Stephenson and E. L. "Dink" Stephenson, ½ brother, Woody Stephenson, Jr. and ½ sister, Francis Asbell.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 at eleven a. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Bussey officiating.
