Freda Mae Smith Boyd

Freda Mae Boyd, 76, of Lake Park died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at her home. She was born on January 18, 1935 in Clover Bottom, Kentucky to the late Franklin, Sr. and Allie Todd Smith and had lived in this area since 1990. Mrs. Boyd was a member of the Lake Park Church of Christ and retired from Pipeline Foods. She enjoyed breeding and boarding Pekingese dogs and quilting.

Survivors include her two sisters and brothers in law, Bessie and Norwood Blythe, Hazel and Austin Williams all of Lake Park, three brothers and sisters in law, Edward and Edith Smith of Puducah, KY., Olford and Sue Smith of Sand Gap, KY., Kenneth and Betty Smith of Richmond, KY., numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Combs, four brothers, Alfred Smith, Franklin Smith, Jr., Cas Smith and Charlie Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Marvin Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the Lake Park Cemetery.
