Frances Vinson Fisher

Frances Vinson Fisher, 100, of Valdosta died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on January 11, 1916 in Valdosta to the late Thomas Marvin and Bessie Wilson Vinson and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Mrs. Fisher was a member of the First United Methodist Church and retired from Vinson's Drug Store. She was a graduate of Georgia State Women's College (now Valdosta State University). Mrs. Vinson loved to travel and being with people. She enjoyed every day to the fullest.
Survivors include her sister, Sara Vinson Morris of Cumming, GA; three nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Fisher.
Memorial services will be held at 3pm, Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Langdale Place Chapel, 2720 Windemere Drive, Valdosta, GA 31602. A private burial will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
