Floyd Calvin Faircloth, Sr.

October 16, 1927 — September 12, 2007

Floyd Calvin Faircloth, Sr., 79, of Valdosta died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the Langdale Hospice House. He was born on October 16, 1927 in Lowndes County to the late Robert F. and Lillie Bradley Faircloth and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Faircloth was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway as an engineer and had been a Merchant Marine. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Linda and Ken Sellers, a son, Floyd C. Faircloth, Jr. and a brother in law, Jack Williams all of Valdosta. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lee Exum Faircloth and a sister, Myrtle F. Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, September 14, 2007 at the Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Entombment will follow in the Riverview Mausoleum.
