Florine R. Skoropat

Florine R. Skoropat, 101, of Valdosta died Monday, March 20, 2017 at Baptist Village in Waycross, GA. She was born on October 5, 1915 in Jennings, FL to the late William Rykard and Lyda Corbett Rykard. Mrs. Skoropat was a homemaker and a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son, Philip Skoropat and his fiancé, Brenda Cox of Greeneville, TN, son and daughter in law, Harry and Sandi Skoropat of Valdosta, son, Alex Skoropat of Apopka, FL, daughter and son in law, Mary and Tony Parrott of Fayetteville, GA, six grandchildren, Stephen Skoropat (Kerry), Laura Reynolds (Keith), Rebecca Homer (Carl), Katie Holland, Amanda Holland and Kristy Bible, five great grandchildren, two brothers, William Rykard (Esther), and Dale Rykard, sister, Linda Kirby (William), numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Skoropat is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alexander Wilton Skoropat, son in law, Ron Holland, brothers, Lewis Rykard (Polly), Elias Rykard (Frankie), Rondal Rykard (Virginia), sister, Hilda Hazel Rykard Pendleton (Alexis) and step mother, Maude Rykard.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at one p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend John Akers officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Satilla Hospice, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, GA 31501.
