Fletcher E. Spann, II, 64, of Valdosta, died at his home on Friday, September 8, 2017. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on May 15, 1953, Fletcher was the son of the late Fletcher E. Spann and Lena Price Spann. He had worked for Roadway Express as a warehouseman for 30 years, retiring in 2008. A member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, he enjoyed studying the Bible, hunting, fishing, and was a car enthusiast.
Survivors are his wife, Cindy of Valdosta; daughter, Amy Spann of Valdosta, son, Fletcher E. Spann "Trey" III and his wife, Suzanne of Pensacola, Florida; grandchildren, Austin, Aaron and Ryan Spann; and a sister, Sarah Miller.
Weather permitting, the family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m., with funeral services at Lighthouse Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Lighthouse Baptist Church Missions. Condolences may be made online at www.mclanecares.com.
