Fern Fry Hotchkiss Smith

Fern Fry Hotchkiss Smith, 94, of Jesup and formerly of Hahira went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2011. She was born in Velda, ND on December 11, 1916 to the late Lawrence and Clara Fry. She graduated from Hahira High School, retired from ITT Metal Products after 31 years, served as a Pink Lady at Smith Hospital for 10 years and a member of the Hahira First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Caron and Leonie Hotchkiss of Jesup, her daughter and son in law, Mary Ellen and Thad Dampier of Callahan, Fla., 8-grandchildren, 17-great grandchildren and 4-great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Hahira First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn City Cemetery in Adel. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10am until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to the Golden Living Nursing Home, 1090 Orange St., Jesup, GA 31545.
