Fay Simpson Rountree

Fay Simpson Rountree, 68, of Valdosta, died Friday, March 11, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on September 23, 1936 in Brooks County, GA to the late A. B. and Ruby Cannon Simpson. Mrs. Rountree was a homemaker and a member of Morningside Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Danny and Denise Rountree of Hahira, Stacy and Jill Rountree of Valdosta, four grandchildren, Zac Rountree, Eli Rountree, Katelyn Rountree and Seth Rountree, one brother, Thomas Simpson of Valdosta, three sisters, Jewell Martin of Brooks County, GA, Carolyn Wimer of Hahira and Vicki Starling of Lewisburg, TN, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, 2005 at two p. m. at the graveside at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Robertson officiating. Burial will follow.
