Evelyn F. Bailey

EVELYN F. BAILEY, 97, of Valdosta died Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the Langdale Hospice House. She was born on August 7, 1910 in Russo, North Dakota to the late Lawrence and Clara Johnson Fry and had lived in Lowndes County most of her life. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, Roy and Betty Jean Bailey of Jacksonville, Fla., Gerald and Betty R. Bailey of Valdosta, two grandsons, Alan Bailey and Robert Bailey, one sister, Fern Smith of Hahira. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bailey, a grandson, Glen Bailey and a brother, Lloyd Fry.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, December 26, 2007 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Michael officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1pm until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Langdale Hospice House.
