Esther Faye Rowland

Esther Faye Rowland, 85, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, July 4th, 2020, at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Valdosta on February 17th, 1935 and has been a resident of this area her whole life. She was a retired seamstress with the Levi's Company. Those who knew her, knew of her kind heart and sweet spirit. She lived the example of a Christian woman and in turn, showed God’s love to others. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dewayne and Mary Ann Rowland; two grandchildren, Scott Rowland and his wife Jenny Rowland of Lake Park, and Jessica Marie Rowland of Lompoc, California; great-grandchildren, Hannah Rowland, Baileigh Rowland, and Everett Rowland all of Lake Park; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles M. (Smokey) Rowland; her son Mike Rowland; a brother, Albert Layton and her sister, Mollie Lewis.
A graveside service for Mrs. Esther Faye Rowland will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Redland Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jay Watkins officiating. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
