Elizabeth P. Jones

Elizabeth P. Jones, 84, of Tallahassee, FL and formerly of Barney, GA and Hahira, GA, died Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at her home in Tallahassee after a lengthy illness. She was born on April 7, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Joseph and Marie Del Rosco Profeta and had lived in Brooks and Lowndes Counties for many years. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Church of Christ and loved the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include four daughters and two sons in law, Wanda and David Mathewson of Hendersonville, TN, Anita Hughes, Kisha and Vincent Boccio all of Tallahassee, FL, and Keri Jones of Bloomington, MN; two sons, Philip Jones of Tallahassee, FL, and Allen Jones of Adel; four grandchildren, Brooke Nicole Jones, Ava Claire Boccio, Carley Grace Boccio, Corey Shea Jones; her great grandchild, Kinsley Elizabeth Jones; her sister and brother in law, Lydia and Steve Walegir of Manalapan, NJ; her sister in law, Janie Jones of Barney, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malloy Thomas Jones and a sister, Ester Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Monday, July 6, 2020 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Mr. David Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery in Morven.
