Elizabeth Malphurs Savaresy

Elizabeth Malphurs Savaresy, 86 of Irving, TX, died on Friday, April 14, 2006 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving after a brief illness. Born on October 9, 1919 in Sparrow, KY, she was the daughter of the late J. G. and Louise Touchton Malphurs. She was a retired marketing teacher at Longview High School and a member of First Christian Church of Longview, TX.

Survivors are a son, Michael Savaresy of Irving, TX, a nephew, Jack Malphurs of Katy, TX, and two nieces, Laura McKinney of Albany, GA and Barbara Hunter of Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Michael Savaresy in 1952.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Copeland Cemetery with Mr. Keith Olbricht officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
