Eleanor Ashley Warner, 86, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born on March 24, 1932 in Ashburn, Georgia to the late Robert and Gladys Grantham Ashley but grew up in Hahira and was a lifelong resident there. She was a retired Registered Nurse with South Georgia Medical Center where she had worked in both the Emergency Room and on 3 West. She loved to crochet and sew, especially Barbie doll clothes, and gardening. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Steve and Renee Warner, Nancy and Alan Sutton, and Fredric and Juanita Warner all of Valdosta; two grandchildren, Laurie Dye and her husband Denton, and Franklin Warner all of Valdosta; her brother, Kenneth Ashley of Adel; three nieces, Belinda Grant, Shirley Davis, and Kathy Lightfoot; two nephews, David Ashley and Vic Ashley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Earl Warner; a son, Robert Warner, her sister, Louise Warner, and a nephew, Kenny Ashley.
A graveside service for Eleanor Ashley Warner will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Friendship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Schappaugh officiating. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
