Edna Dennis Hasty Corbett

Edna Dennis Hasty Corbett, 90 of Phenix City, AL passed away Friday June 3, 2011 at the Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM EST Monday at Ladonia Baptist Church in Phenix City with Rev. David Howle officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 PM EST at McLane's Riverview Memorial Gardens in Valdosta, GA. The family will receive friends this evening (Sunday) from 6 to 8 pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Mrs. Corbett was born November 26, 1920 in Valdosta, GA to the late Charlie Lewis Dennis and Essie Mae Hendricks Dennis. She was a homemaker and previously worked in food service management with various school systems in the Valdosta area. She enjoyed needle point, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grand children. Mrs. Corbett was a former member of the Gideon Auxiliary and a member of LadoniaBaptistChurch in Phenix City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Franklin Hasty and Floyd Corbett, a daughter, Shelby Hasty, (4) brothers, Wally Dennis, Ronnie Dennis, Marvin Dennis, Gene Dennis and (1) sister, Mildred Sanders.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Hasty Martin and husband, George of Phenix City, AL, son, Jim Hasty and wife Vivian of Taylors, SC
Sister, Mary Dennis of Birmingham, AL, (5) grandchildren, George Martin (Susan), David Martin, Jay Hasty (Joselyn), Laura Young (Jeff) and Melanie Hasty, (6) great grandchildren, Jessica, Katie, Bailey, Taylor, Isabella and Aiden, many nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and many caring friends.
