Edmund Andrew Page, 54, of Valdosta, died on Monday, August 7, 2017 at his home. Born Wiesbaden, Germany, on November 21, 1962, he was the son of James T. Page, Sr. and the late, Mary Simmons Page. He served briefly in the U.S. Navy and received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Valdosta State University. Mr. Page was the owner of Miss Gypsy Designs. He was instrumental in founding the Challenger League through the YMCA, a program to assist challenged children to successfully participate in sports. Through his business he helped parents of challenged children develop their parenting skills to meet the needs of their children and families. He was the co-founder of the Adair Street Horror (Charity) Haunted House to benefit Parkwood Developmental Center. He enjoyed hosting a neighborhood haunted house at his own home to help those in need.
Survivors are his wife of 30 years, Julie Page; daughter, Rachael (Austin) Schaper, Clemmons, North Carolina; a son, Edmund Andrew "Drew" Page II, Valdosta; granddaughter, Harper Paige Schaper, Clemmons, North Carolina; father, James T. Page, Sr., Valdosta; brothers, Trey (Jami) Page, Charleston, South Carolina, sister, Joan (Chris) Sawyer, Valdosta; and special friend, Mike Harpe, Valdosta. He was preceded in death by his mother, and a sister, Leslie Harpe.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 - 7 p.m. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
