Edith Gail Bray, 90, of Pavo, died on Monday, December 13, 2021, at her residence following a period of declining health. She was born on August 23, 1931, in Rapid City, South Dakota to the late Lawrence and Winifred Leach Fleming. Mrs. Bray was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid fisher and enjoyed traveling. More than this she was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother or “Dee” as she was titled by her first great grandchild.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Holloway of Moultrie, Georgia and Wanda and Thomas Allmond of Pavo, Georgia; her grandchildren and their spouses, Travis and Shawnie Bray of Tallahassee, Florida, Jessica and Brandon Joins of Moultrie, and Thomas Hall and Wendi Moran of Pavo; three great-grandchildren, Amelia Joins, Riley Joins, and Callum Joins; her sister, Marlene Light of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Gail Fleming of Reno, Nevada, and Mavis Fleming of Valentine, Nebraska; a brother-in-law, Rusty Foyle of Valentine, Nebraska; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Bray, her brothers, James Daniel Fleming, Charles Fleming, and Joe Fleming, her sister, Mavis (Maddie) Foyle, and son-in-law, Jimmy Holloway.
