July 24, 1932 — January 30, 2010

EARL WALKER, 77, of Valdosta, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the Fellowship Home at Brookside after a lengthy illness.

He was born July 24, 1932 in Valdosta, the son of R.H. and Alice Grey Pittman Walker. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, and had a great passion for boxing in his younger years, earning Golden Gloves in Georgia and Texas. Mr. Walker had owned and operated the Rock' n' Rodeo, formerly the New Knights, and Sugar Creek Shopping Center. He was a great husband, father and friend. In his later years fishing became his passion and he was happiest at Lake Allycone and Spring Warrior Fish Camp in Perry, FL, with his beloved Yorkies. Mr. Walker was always giving back to the youth in the community through many civic organizations. He was a Baptist by faith, and generous to a fault.
