Earl Hastings Mulkey

Earl Hastings Mulkey, 55, of Valdosta died Thursday, June 10, 2010 in Valdosta. He was born on November 22, 1954 in Valdosta. He was the son of the late Billy Ethridge and Sara Jewell Ford Mulkey of Lake Park. Mr. Mulkey was a graduate from Lowndes High School and Valdosta State and became an Electrician. He worked for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for thirty years. He worked all over the country from California to Maine and enjoyed water activities such as fishing and skiing whenever possible.

He is survived by his two sisters and brothers in law, Debby & Jesse Steedley, Homerville, Billie Sue & Glenn Crabtree of Charlotte, NC; two nieces, Sarah Sessoms & Fred Ammons of Byron, GA, Elizabeth Buchanan of Charlotte, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Thomas K. Buchanan.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home. Graveside service for Mr. Mulkey will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at the Lake Park Cemetery with Rev. Bob Willis officiating.
