Douglas And Marilyn Lang

Douglas John Lang, 84, and Marilyn Ann McNeil Lang, 74, both of Jennings, Florida died Sunday, December 15, 2019 in Valdosta from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mr. Lang was born on April 15, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Ralph John and Blanche Evelyn Stauffer Lang. Mrs. Lang was born on January 14, 1945 in Ft. Riley, Kansas to the late Roderick L. and Helen June Dubois McNeil. Mr. and Mrs. Lang were members of the Morningside Baptist Church where he taught Men’s Sunday School Class and sang in the choir. He loved traveling and serving the public through his businesses, and she enjoyed working alongside her husband in every business they owned and spending time caring for numerous children and her pets.
Survivors include their children, Daniel J. Lang, Donald J. Lang, Linda Sue and Mel Basch, Ellen Kay Harris, Michael Paul Lang, Dan (Dawn) Lang (a grandson raised as their son); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; Mr. Lang is survived by his brother and sister in law, Bob and Betty Lang; Mrs. Lang is survived by her three brothers and sisters in law, Rod and Caty McNeil, Chuck and Carrie McNeil, Brian and Karen McNeil. Mr. Lang is preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Lang.
Joint funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Lang will be held at 11am, Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3pm, Saturday at Burnham Christian Church Cemetery, 4520 NW Co Rd 146, Jennings, Florida 32053. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7pm at the Morningside Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Morningside Baptist Church Building Fund, 425 Connell Road, Valdosta, GA 31602.
