Dorothy Mae Greene Stephenson

Dorothy Mae Greene Stephenson, of Valdosta, left this life to join her Saviour and departed family in heaven early Monday morning, June 29, 2020. She was born in Lowndes County on April 5, 1934 to Harris S. Greene, Sr. and Annie Mae Crumbley Greene. Ms. Stephenson attended Valdosta High School and raised her family in Valdosta. She is Baptist in faith. She was respected, a dedicated and devoted Mother.

Survivors include her sister, Margaret Davis and two sisters-in-law, Jane Greene of Adel and Ann Greene of Lake Park; her daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and George Grigg, Jodi and Roddy Scruggs; son and daughter-in law, Matt and Janette Stephenson; 8 Grandchildren: James Maples III, Samantha Schreiber (Scott), Sara Grigg, Russ Brown (Kim), Ashley Thorne,
Alex Stephenson, Jacob Stephenson, Anna Stephenson. She was blessed with 10 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ms. Stephenson was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband and father of her children, Vernon Stephenson; brothers: Harris S Greene, Jr., Larry W. Greene, Harry E. Greene, Jerry Greene and Sister Helen Sowell.
