Dorothy Lefiles Stephens Echols

Dorothy LeFiles Stephens Echols, 91, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on August 27, 2007. Born in Thomasville, Georgia on November 5, 1915, Mrs. Echols grew up in Valdosta, Georgia and graduated from Valdosta High School in 1934. Her husband, Richard L. Echols, preceded her in death. They lived in Valdosta and Tallahassee, Florida for many years.

Mrs. Echols is survived by her daughter, Ramona Seabold and husband, John, two grandsons, Skipper Seabold and Jeffrey Seabold and his wife, Tracy of Jackson, Mississippi. She also leaves a son, Richard A. Echols of Richmond, Virginia.

Graveside services will be held in Valdosta, Georgia at Sunset Hill Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2007. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Methodist Hospice Foundation, 6423 Shelby View Drive, Suite 103, Memphis, Tennessee 38134.
