Dorothy Adams Stone

Dorothy Adams Stone, 73, of Hahira, died Friday, April 13, 2012 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on October 10, 1938 in Quitman, GA to the late David Martin Adams and Mary Adams. Mrs. Stone was a retired telephone operator from Southern Bell, attended Hahira Church of God and graduated from Hahira High School.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Damon Jr. (Chip) and Helen Ruth Stone of Hahira, two grandsons, Richard Raines Stone and Quillian Riley Stone, both of Hahira, two sisters, Ovida Evans of Berlin and Ella Mae Johnson of Hahira, three brothers, John R. Jones of Starke, FL, James Adams of Fort White, FL and Paul Adams of Wauchula, FL. Mrs. Stone is preceded in death by her husband, Damon Raines "Bill" Stone, Sr., her daughter, Sharon Darlene Stone, sisters and brothers, Ethel Jones, Tom Jones, Ruth Williams, Belle Creel and Mary Alice Gibbs.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at three p. m. at Fellowship Cemetery in Cook County with Reverend Leonard Harnage officiating. Burial will follow.
