Derrick Ernest Corbett

Derrick Ernest Corbett, 60, of Lake Park, died on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at South Georgia Medical Center. Born on November 19, 1960, in Valdosta, he was the son of Ernest W. and Faye Carter Corbett. Derrick was the owner of Big Daddy’s Body Shop. He enjoyed going to the races and attending concerts. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his daughter and son in law, April, and Jody Warren; grandchildren, Reece, Rylee, and Ryder Lehman all of Lake Park; a sister, Vanessa Fletcher also of Lake Park; a special friend, Libby Fine of Lake Park; and nieces, Nicole Tucker, Haley Tucker of Atlanta, and Kristen Tucker of Denver, Colorado. Also survived by extended family and friends.
Services will be held at the graveside at Carter Cemetery in Echols County on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Brother Mickey Corbett will officiate. Condolences may be made online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home.
