Deborah Cain Steinberg, 69, of Valdosta died Friday, October 30, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Valdosta on September 19, 1951 and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Debbi’s greatest love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and enjoyed her morning spending time in her Bible with Him. She is a strong Christian woman that shared the Lord with her family and friends by the way she lived her life for Him. Debbi was a member of Northside Baptist Church most of her life where singing in the choir was a highlight of her week. The people of the church loved her and she loved them. Her church helped her get through her husband’s death for which she was grateful. She loved her husband, Charles with whom she is now reunited with in Heaven. She was a loving and sweet mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and looked forward to all the family gatherings and vacations. She especially enjoyed and loved taking her grandchildren to the Braves baseball games. She had many friends and loved all their fun times together playing cards, eating out and shopping together.
Survivors include her son, Charles Robert (Chad) Steinberg, Jr. of Valdosta; her daughter and son in law, Christy and Jeremy Allbritton of Hahira; her four grandchildren, Charles Robert (Trey) Steinberg, III of Tallahassee, FL, Emma Allbritton, Garrison Allbritton both of Valdosta, Jacob Steinberg of Tallahassee, FL; her stepfather, Norman C. Nichols of Valdosta; two sisters and a brother in law, Penny Gustafson of Dallas, TX, Nanci and Frank Ballard of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Cliff Nichols of Valdosta, Grant Nichols of Tampa, FL; her stepmother, Jeanette Cain of Valdosta; half-sister and half-brother in law, Sherry Wetherington and Bert Tucker of Valdosta; half-brother and half-sister in law, Jack and Donna Cain of Valdosta; sisters in law and brothers in law, Carol and Charles Mizell of Barney, James and Teresa Steinberg, David and Marcia Steinberg all of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Steinberg, Sr. ; her mother, Wyolene Grant Nichols, her father, Jack H. Cain, Sr.; her brother, Jason Nichols; her parents in law, David and Bertha Steinberg.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Monday, November 2, 2020 at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Robby Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery with Dr. Gary Woods officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:30pm-3:30pm at the church.
