David Wayne Cardwell

David Wayne Cardwell, 74, of Valdosta died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta after a lengthy illness. He was born on November 9, 1937 in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Leonard and Hazel Martin Cardwell and had lived in Valdosta for many years. Mr. Cardwell attended Antioch Church and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an avid sportsman and especially loved fishing.

Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Amos, two granddaughters, Kristi Amos and Kimberly Amos all of Acworth, brother and sister in law, Larry and Wynette Cardwell, his sister, Betty Cardwell, niece, Jeri Carter, beloved great nephew, Cole Carter all of Valdosta. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jenny Cardwell and three brothers, Kelly Cardwell, Jack Cardwell and Jerry Cardwell.

Memorial services will be held at 3pm, Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Antioch Church in Echols County with Rev. Mickey Corbett officiating.
