Collie Zipperer Scott, 93, of Valdosta died on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center. Born in Lowndes County to the late Benjamin Oscar and Bessie Davis Zipperer, she was a secretary for a steam shipping company and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Valdosta.
Survivors include one sister, Ina Z. Morris of Valdosta; nephews, Sherman Benjamin Hall of Thomas County, James Ludy Hall of Clyattville, Verlon Lowell Hall of Lake City, Fl., John Francis Dempsey, Jr. of Starke, Fl., Steven Zipperer and Benjamin Kessler Zipperer both of Immoaklee, Fl., Reavis Eugene Morris, Jr., of Kennesaw; nieces, Jo Ann Hartman of Valdosta, Margery Stephens of Lake Park and Wonda Faye Arnold of Valdosta. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Scott; brother and sisters, Lavirle Hall, Dalene Dempsey, Webster Zipperer, Kessler Zipperer; nephew, Wayne Davis Morris.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Scott will be held in the Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Sherman B. Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
