Charlie William "Bill" Harris, 82, of Hahira died Monday, March 9, 2009 at his home. He was born in Hahira on August 4, 1926 to the late Dewey and Sadie Millirons Harris and was a lifelong resident of Hahira. Mr. Harris was a farmer and a veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include a brother, Nathan "Bud" Harris of Hahira, sister in law, Liz Harris Owens of Hahira, niece, Linda Faye Singletary and a nephew, Andy Harris. He is preceded in death by a brother, Pete Harris.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2009 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Boykin officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.
