Carolyn Marie Walker

Carolyn Marie Walker, 76, of Valdosta, gained her precious angel wings on Thursday June 25th, 2020. She passed away at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on November 28th, 1943 in Berrien County to the late Julian and Marie Walker. Carolyn lived a very happy and fulfilling life at home with them until they passed away. After her parents passed she went on to continue living an enjoyable life with her sister, Barbara Tomlinson, until she went to live at Lakehaven Nursing Home in 2017. For anyone who may have crossed paths with Carolyn you were surely blessed with hearing her talk about the Bible, tell stories of her family, listen to the music she enjoyed and possibly sit and share her favorite drink – a Coke Cola!
Ms. Walker is survived by her sister, Barbara Tomlinson, an Uncle, Carlton Walker, two nieces and their spouses: Melissa and Tom Hamilton of Hawaii, Mande and Jim Wolverton of North Carolina, along with a great niece and great nephew, Beatrix and Hayden Wolverton as well as many cousins and life-long friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother in law, John Talley Tomlinson.
Carolyn will be buried at the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with no formal service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Break Bread Together Program, P.O.
