Caroline Stump Butler

Caroline Howell Stump Butler, 86, of Valdosta died Monday, January 21, 2008 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. Born on January 20, 1922, in Valdosta she was the daughter of the late Joseph Harry and Marion Wilkinson Stump. She served in the Red Cross during WWII and was retired as a social worker for DFACS. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Ron Butler of Valdosta; daughters, Donna Butler of Bakersfield, CA and Marcia Miranda of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Katie Marie Butler and Rafe Butler of Rome; nieces and nephews, Doug Stump, Harry Stump and Ann Sockwell.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home.
