Carl David Johnson, Jr.

Carl David Johnson, Jr., 84, of Valdosta died Friday, August 28, 2020 at his home. He was born in Valdosta on April 9, 1936 to the late Carl David, Sr. and Carolyn Burgsteiner Johnson and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Mr. Johnson was retired as a supervisor from Owens Illinois and served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Dasher Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters and a son in law, Ilona and Lloyd Coffee of Saulsbury, TN., Marguerite Johnson of Valdosta; his son and daughter in law, C. David, III and Heather Johnson of Tifton; his grandchildren, Lance Michael McCrary, Lindsi Katherine and Ben EIliott, Travis David and Erica Johnson, Rebecca Suzanna Johnson, Hannah Renae Johnson, Megan Elizabeth Johnson; his great grandchildren, Anna Katherine Elliott, Jackson Luke Elliott, Landon John Elliott, Dylan Brooks Johnson, Lucas Graham Johnson; a niece, Laura Griggs, a nephew, Jaret Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margarete Katarina Johnson, his brother and sister in law, Ben T. and Janice Johnson.
A private graveside service will be held at Dasher Cemetery with Mr. David Nelson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to Georgia Christian School, 4359 Dasher Road, Valdosta, GA 31601.
