Brian "Tinker" Peters, 69, of Twin Lakes, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at his home.
He was born March 16, 1945 in Berwyn, IL, a son of the late Godfrey M. and Louise A. Boyle Peters. Mr. Peters proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. For over thirty years he was an RV Salesman, retiring from Travel Country RV, Lake Park. He was a member of New Life Community Church; he loved his family, his church and his country. Tinker was an avid Lowndes Vikings fan and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a great role model for his children and his community, and he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by four children, Jimmy Peters of Twin Lakes, Stephanie Marie Peters Bradford and husband Randy of Twin Lakes, Brian A. Peters, Jr. and wife Bonnie Marie of Twin Lakes, and Zachery Peters and girlfriend Erica Carlton of Valdosta; three grandchildren, Ashlea Marie Peters, Kaleigh Rayne Bradford, and Cynthia Louise Peters; two sisters, Judy McCord of Payson, AZ, and Valerie Sumrall of Conyers; two brothers, Johnny Peters of Valdosta, and Gary Peters and wife Tammie of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews; a wonderful church family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Darlene Corrales Peters, and a sister, Peggy Peters.
The Funeral Service for Mr. Peters will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2014, at New Life Community Church, with Pastor Keith Allsbrook officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Lake Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home, Lake Park.
