Brenda Hawke Cogdill

Brenda Hawke Cogdill, 71, of Hahira died Friday, July 3, 2020 at Langdale Hospice House. Brenda was born on August 16, 1948 in Valdosta and was the daughter of the late Vascoe Bussey and the late Lawanna DeLoach Parramore. She was a Baptist and loved her family dearly. Brenda’s grandchildren were her heart and she loved shopping.
Survivors include her husband, Scott H. Cogdill of Hahira; her sons, John Calvin Hawke, Jason and Cansas Bussey, all of Hahira; her stepdaughter, Jennifer Baker of Washington State; her grandchildren, Dalton Hawke, Kolby Bussey, Kaycee Bussey, Kye Baker, Bailey Baker; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; her sister and brother in law, Geralene and Harold Easler of Hahira; two sisters in law and a brother in law, Liz Bussey of Valdosta, Patty and Carroll Morretti of Washington State. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Calvin Hawke, Sr., two brothers, Jack Bussey, Darrell Bussey and a niece, Belinda Gail Mullis.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Bussey officiating. Burial will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
