Bobby Jean Futch

Bobby Jean Futch, 73, of Lake Park departed this earth and joined his Father in Heaven on Sunday, January 20, 2008. Bob was a resident of Lake Park for the past year having been a resident of Florida and Warwick, Georgia prior to that time. Mr. Futch was a member or the Warwick United Methodist Church. He was born in Titusville, Brevard County Florida to the late Walter William and Viola Tetstone Futch. He graduated from Titusville High School in 1952. Bob was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and pursued a career in law enforcement after discharge. He retired from the Florida Highway Patrol and was a self employed businessman for many years afterwards. He was also a manufacturer’s representative for manufactured housing companies. He was known for his ability to “read” those that he met, his quick wit and his loyalty and devotion to God, family and country.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie B. “Betty” Taylor Futch, his children, Traci L. Futch Howard, Walter K. “Buddy” Futch both of Salt Springs, Fla., R. Marc Futch of Deltona, Florida, stepdaughter, Jessica E. Thompson Hicks of Ocilla, seven wonderful grandchildren, Brittany C. Howard of Salt Springs, Fla., Danielle M. Hicks of New York, NY, Johnna R. Hicks of Valdosta, John B. “Bo” Hicks of Ocilla, Brooke Icee Futch and Hadley Grace Futch both of Deltona, Fla. and Gage Connor Futch of Salt Springs, Fla., one brother, Douglas Smith Futch of Titusville, Fla. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Curtis Lee Futch of Titusville, Fla., William Clyde Futch, Sr. of Palatka, Fla., Walter Earl Futch of Belleview, Fla. and a stepson, John W. Thompson.
