Billy E. Middleton

Billy E. Middleton, 90, of Valdosta died Sunday, March 13, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on November 2, 1931 in Colquitt, Georgia to the late Charles Taylor and Georgia Mae Newberry Middleton and had lived in Valdosta for many years. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and on many other committees. Mr. Middleton was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from the FAA where he had served as Manager of the Electronics Field Office.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Cartrett Middleton of Valdosta; sons and daughters in law, Mark and Sandra Middleton of Daytona Beach, FL, Keith and Teresa Middleton, Mike and Lisa Cartrett all of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Brian Middleton, Amy Middleton, Laura Middleton Connell, Kelly Mize Gibbs, David Mize, Ryan Mize, Brandon Cartrett, Melissa Cowart, Emily Bland, William Rozier; and numerous great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Middleton; a daughter, Lisa Middleton Colburn; his brothers and sisters, Brewton Middleton, Edward Middleton, Eva Davis, Mable McVey, and Ann Payne.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Robby Foster and Dr. Gary Woods officiating. Entombment will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2pm at the church.
