Betty Parker Lightsey

Betty Parker Lightsey, 88, of Lake Park died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Heritage House Nursing Home. She was born in Valdosta on April 14, 1927 to the late Zeke and Mae Ward Parker and was a lifelong resident of Lowndes County.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Rebecca Brice, Jenny Robbins, Angel Hobby, John Lightsey, Brian Lightsey, Christy Lewis, Dana Lightsey, Jennifer Cruz; 16-great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; daughter in law, Marilyn Nobles of Albany, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Lightsey, Sr., her daughter, Valerie Lightsey Wells and two sons, Edward H. Lightsey, Jr. and Danny Lightsey. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Heritage House Nursing Home and Pruitt Hospice for their love and compassion to Mrs. Lightsey during her recent illness.
