Betty M. Taylor

Born June 14, 1930 in Atlanta, GA.

Preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James W. McBee and her beloved husband, Jack R. (J. R.) Taylor after over 53 years of marriage.

Member of Barney United Methodist Church and Red Hat Society.

Her 34 year railroad career ended with retirement from CSX Transportation in Jacksonville, FL in 1987 as Assistant Manager of Customer Service.

She leaves many long time close friends, cousins, several nieces and nephews, as well as her husband's sisters and brothers who have been so gracious over the years.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 10:30 a. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Dr. Charles McDowell officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
