Betty L. Sims Bigler

October 23, 1949 — July 29, 2016

Betty L. Sims Bigler, 66, of Valdosta died on Friday, July 29, 2016 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Marianna, Florida on October 23, 1949 to the late William Fulton and Elizabeth Sommerlin Sims. She was a homemaker, loved to talk with people, and loved her two dogs, Smutt Butt and Lil' Bit as well as her three-legged cat, Tripod.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Scott and Amanda Jackson of Leesburg, Georgia, and Michael Jackson and Patricia Parsley of Valdosta; her sister, Helen Flanders of Altha, Florida; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Howard Sims.

Services for Betty L. Sims Bigler will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Gupton officiating.
