Bessie M. Price

Bessie M. Price, 93, of Hahira died Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on September 14, 1911 in Dorton, Kentucky to the late Lee and Bitha McPeek Belcher and had lived in Hahira since 1982. Mrs. Price enjoyed working in her yard and crocheting. She was a member of the Hahira First Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Genevieve (Ginny) Crowe of Hahira, two sons and a daughter in law, Glen, Jr. and Patty Price of Lenoir, NC. and Oscar Doyle Price of Hahira, six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one brother, Everett Belcher of Savannah, and one sister, Beatrice Powers of Erwin, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Price, Sr. and one son, Roy Lee Price and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, December 31, 2004 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
