Barbara Frances Teeter, 69, of Valdosta, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at her home. A lifelong resident of Valdosta, she was born on February 19, 1950 to the late Clifford Darrell Bennett and Elizabeth Frances Bradley Bennett. Barbara loved to shop and enjoyed talking on the phone. She had a green thumb which was evident in her garden. She had a deep love of music, her favorite artists being Elvis and Rod Stewart. Barbara’s love of the Lord and her family, especially her grandchildren, was dearest to her heart. She was a member of Azalea City Church of God.
Barbara is survived by two daughters, Krissy Teeter (Fiancé Jeffery Catrett), of Clyattville, and Sherry (James) May, of Ray City; one sister Susie Brantley Plummer, of California; six grandchildren, Austin Teeter, of Valdosta, Dustin Teeter (Dixie Catrett), of Statenville, Nathan Wright, of Ray City, Faith Catrett, of Valdosta, Nicholas Kinchens, of Jacksonville, FL, and Elizabeth Brantley, of Ray City; two great grandchildren Madeleine Teeter and Sereniti Catrett, both of Statenville; and a very close nephew Joshua Plummer of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy Floyd Teeter, and four brothers.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mrs. Mary Bennett officiating. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
