Arthur Wayne Exum

Wayne Exum, 72, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, Georgia. He was born on September 26, 1950, in Valdosta to the late Eugene Franklin and Cleo Lastinger Exum. Mr. Exum was a veteran of the United States Air Force and had served during the time of the Vietnam conflict. He retired after 30 years of service with AT&T as an electronics technician, and he attended the First Baptist Church of Valdosta.

Mr. Exum is survived by his wife, Ann Exum of Valdosta; his daughter, Kara Exum of Valdosta; a sister, Janice Pittman of Valdosta; a sister-in-law, Lama Exum of Fitzgerald; his brother-in-law, Bill Hunter of Rocky Mountain, North Carolina; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Exum; two brothers, Carson Exum and Charles Exum; sister and brother-in-law, Geri and Richard Kent; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Pittman; a sister-in-law, Peggy Exum, and his parents-in-law, Ruth and Trapnell Hunter.

Services for Wayne Exum will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 4 P.M. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Massie officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
