Arthur B. Bowles, Jr.

Arthur B. Bowles, Jr., 69, of Valdosta died Friday, September 25, 2009 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on April 14, 1940 to the late Arthur B., Sr. and Nannie E. Wren Bowles and had lived in this area all of his life. Mr. Bowles was a retired mechanic with Register Serivce Station.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Bowles of Valdosta, four sons and three daughters in law, Arthur and Carol Bowles, Terry and Luci Bowles, Shawn and Ann Bowles all of Valdosta, John Bowles of Pelham, two daughters, Tina Bowles and Christie Fernandez both of Valdosta, 11-grandchildren, 5-great grandchildren, four sisters, Patsy Howell of Ocilla, Audrey Eddie of Mobile, Ala., Jewell Harvey of Bath, NC., Lisa Owens of Florida, one brother, Billy Bowles of Quitman and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Edith Hero.

Graveside services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Good Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Gabbard officiating.
