Ann Strickland Greene

Ann Strickland Greene, 80, of Lake Park, died at South Georgia Medical Center on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Ann was born a child of the late Claudie Orlando and Lois Aline Wise Strickland, on May 1, 1940 in East Point, Florida. She was a retired educator, having worked as a Special Education teacher in the Brooks County School System. Widow of the late Larry William Greene, Sr., she was a loving mother and grandmother. A long-time resident of Lake Park, Ann enjoyed being a member of and teaching Sunday School at Corinth Baptist Church. She loved to cook for family and friends and was a people person who loved her Lord and Savior.
Ann is survived by her daughter and son in law, Claudette and Richard Jackson of Tallahassee, Florida, a son, Larry William Greene, Jr. of Lake Park, grandchildren, Ashlea and Matt Rivest of Monticello, Florida, Heather Jackson of Auburn, Alabama, Anslie Jackson of Tallahassee, Florida, Landon Greene of Lake Park; great grandchild, Cullen Rivest of Monticello; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Lois Ann Greene and a sister, Yvonne Hope Morrell.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Corinth Cemetery. Dr. Henry Cannington and Reverend Yancey Hartman will officiate. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Samaritans Purse. Carson McLane Funeral Home is serving the Greene family.
