Amy Lea Bennett

Amy Lea Bennett, 60, of Valdosta, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at her home. She was born in Orlando, FL on May 15, 1957 to the late Thomas Dennis Lavender, Jr., and Sarah May Powell Lavender. Amy loved working in real estate alongside the Danski’s Empire Real Estate team. She cherished coffee dates with her best friends, Sonya, Ruth, Renee, and Sandra. She enjoyed grilling out and making twice baked potatoes and Brunswick stew for her family. In her down time, she loved snuggling with her dogs, Chewy and the late DD, and watching the Voice. She was of the Church of Christ faith.
Amy is survived by her two daughters Traci (Bridget) Bennett, of Boulder, CO, and Jennifer Bennett (Ricki Alex), of Navarre, FL, her brother Andy Lavender (April), of Walnut Ridge, AR, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Richard Alan Bennett, and her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. at 3867 Heatherwoods Dr., Valdosta.
