Michael Chadwick (Chad) Miller, 45, of Lake Park, died at home on August 25, 2017. Born in Valdosta on September 23, 1971, he was the son of Rochelle Barrett Miller and the late William Edward Miller, Sr. He was employed with Mackey Lumber for 17 years, and was also recently self-employed. A member of First Baptist Church, Lake Park, Chad was sweet, caring and considerate of his family and others. He loved to play guitar, to hunt for arrowheads and fish. A practical joker with a witty sense of humor, Chad had a contagious smile.
Survivors are his mother, Rochelle Miller of Lake Park, daughter, Lauren Miller (Taylor) Wilson of Valdosta, son, William Cale Miller of Valdosta, step-son, Jordan Thomas Black of Lake Park, sister, Christy Miller of Valdosta, nephew, Tristin Butler of Valdosta, and the mother of his children, Robin Livingston Crump of Valdosta.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Jason Spells will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
