Oras Wayne Butler, 62, of Lake Park died on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. He was born in Kennett, Missouri on April 30, 1955 to the late Oras Leonard Butler and to Betty Ruth Cagle Butler. He was the owner/operator of Butler's Auto Salvage and was of the Assembly of God faith. He loved playing golf, watching his favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals, finding and collecting old coins, hummingbirds and old cars. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Butler of Lake Park; a son, Kip Butler; a daughter, Dana Butler; daughter, Michelle Wyrick of Jasper, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Tara Butler of Lake Park; daughter and son-in-law, Missy Elvetris and Barry Privett of Lake Park; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jessica Butler of Lake Park; his mother, Betty Ruth Butler of Missouri; his grandchildren, Landon Butler, Dakotah Butler, Michael and Kaitlin Wyrick, Maddie Wyrick, Alexa Butler, Ashton Bagwell, Alysyn Privett, Kloee Privett, Bud Privett, Zilliah Privett, Mikayla Privett, John Butler, and Makenna Butler; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and John Fox of Branson, Missouri, and Gayla and Marvin Cumpton of Jackson, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil Butler and Leonard Butler; two sisters, Rosie Shatley and Sheila Potts, and his grandson, Eric Butler.
A graveside service for Oras Wayne Butler will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Lake Park Cemetery with Minister Larry Moncrief officiating. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. McLane Lakewood.
