Carolyn Mobley Griffin, 72, of Valdosta died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on November 8, 1940 in Clinch County, Georgia to the late Clifford Dwight and Carrie Tomlinson Mobley and had lived in Valdosta for many years where she worked at Valdosta Coca Cola Bottling Works from 1960-1969. Mrs. Griffin was a member of the Forrest Park Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Gene Griffin, daughter and son in law, Gina Griffin Ganas and Will Ganas, her precious grandson, John Griffin Ganas, an honorary daughter, Jennifer Wisenbaker Copeland, brother and sister in law, William H. (Bill) and Marilyn Mobley all of Valdosta, her sister, Lawanna Balmer of Flowery Branch, GA, sister in law, Mary Frances Mobley of Tampa, FL. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty McBride, Louise Kent and Mildred Mobley and one brother, Paul D. Mobley.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Forrest Park Church Christ with Mr. Ray Joyner and Mr. Ryan Tuten officiating. Burial will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
