Sandy Loyless, 72, lifetime resident of Valdosta, died at her home on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Daughter of the late Orland Ward Sr., and Nina Duelle Smith Ward, she was born on September 8, 1943 in Valdosta. As a homemaker, Mrs. Loyless was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church and she loved her church family.
Survivors are her daughter and son in law, Deidra and Jeff Frier of Valdosta; a son, James Loyless, Jr. (Misty Dupree) of Valdosta; grandchildren, Kimberly (Jonathan) Montgomery of Valdosta, Allen (Elizabeth) Frier of Statenville, Hunter (Caitlyn) Loyless of Valdosta, Hayden (Shelby) Loyless, Harrison Loyless of Hahira; greatgrandchildren, Asher Montgomery, Grace Anna Montgomery, Eva Marie Frier, Crispin Loyless, and Kynlee Loyless; a sister, Anne Mitchell, brothers, Orland Griffin "Butch" (Charline) Ward and Steve (Debbie) Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Junior Loyless, Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Ward will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
