Henrietta Shiver Courson, 83, of Valdosta died Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the Fellowship Home. She was born in Vidalia, Georgia on October 28, 1933, a daughter of the late Gilliam Newton Trull and Daisy Mae Lamb Trull Howard. Mrs. Courson was a member of the Redland Baptist Church and retired from Owens Illinois Bag Plant Division. She was an avid gardner, loved to travel and spend time with her family.
Survivors include her three daughters and two sons in law, Cathy and Ronnie Ganas of Lakeland, GA, Peggy Barnes, Charlene and Bruce McCracken all of Valdosta; her grandchildren and their spouses, Ronnie and Jessica Ganas, Lesley and Dennis Rowland, Dan Hagin, Jeramey Hagin, Tessa McCracken, Levi and Brittany McCracken; 13-great grandchildren; her sister, Genny Rogers of Jasper, FL. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles (Bill) Shiver and George W. Courson; a sister, Ruth Rogers and a brother, Robert Howard.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Redland Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Redland Cemetery.
